Adding another feature request to the list. It would be nice if we could toggle a switch to a pixel texture grid overlay on our model to see where the texture has to stretch and condense. It's useful for painting along the "grain" of the pixel flow on the model.
Here's an example of the kinds of template textures I'm talking about, taken from this YouTube video.

I planned already to do a "pixel density check" function. It's also something I'm looking forward to have it in. I guess it's something similar to what you want.
So I have something like this on my list \ mind and it will come but I don't know when. It depends how much bugs I will have to fix after the next update ^^
